Welcome.

I started to develop my painting after taking early retirement in 2014.

I had not painted since school until dabbling on a few holidays in France and then going an evening class in Marple and joining the local art society.

Having spent a brief post retirement period living in France I am indebted to two art teachers who lived there and started guiding me in learning many new techniques.  We returned to the UK , living for a while on a narrow boat in Derbyshire and a  going to a variety of art workshops.

We then settled in a small cottage in north east Scotland, an area which we love.  Since moving here, I have become involved in two local art societies which is very rewarding, a good way to meet other artists and gain inspiration.

I am still working out my  preferred style and medium but enjoy experimenting!

My inspiration comes from the area we live in, its landscapes, coastlie, townscapes and wildlife and I continue to try out new and different approaches to my work.

I now sell my original paintings, prints, cards and also diversifying into other areas such as hand painted brooches and clocks.

I am also very happy to consider commissions at very reasonable prices (you can see some on the commission's page).
