Karol and Family in New Film Festival Short

Dover acting family, mother, son and pet dog, Karol, Ben and Ted Steele have been filming a new short film intended for the British Film Festival circuit this Easter Weekend.

The short, entitled Two Little Words, was written by Lee Relph and produced by the Orpington-based film company Hyper Reel Films.  It tells the story of a woman walking through her world, and all she hears from everyone she meets is just two words - but which two will make her happy?

Ben stars as The Tory Canvasser, whose two words 'Vote Conservative' result in him getting a kick on the shin from the woman.  Karol has two roles in the film: the first is The Charity Collector pleading 'Donation please?' and later in the film she is The Dog Walker, whose dog (played by Ted) sniffs the woman, causing her to apologise, "Sorry dear."

Karol said, "We were very flattered to be asked to take part in the making of this film, as Lee already has a number of film festival prizes under his belt.  At the last minute Lee asked me to take on the second role of Charity Collector after being let down, so I had to be very heavily disguised as The Dog Walker - blonde wig, glasses and headscarf.  Hopefully I won't be recognised!

"Poor Ben was a real trouper - he was still recovering from a bad bout of flu, but still managed to take being kicked and falling to the ground a dozen times!"

Once the film is finished it is to be entered into various film festivals across the country, as well as to be uploaded to Vimeo.
