1. If you could change your name, what would you change it to?

I don’t mind my name. My mum wanted to call me Rosemary – my dad managed to change her mind. When I was a little girl I liked the idea of being called Susan – I don’t know why – there were lots of Susans. I always wanted a heart brooch with my name on – you could always get Susan and never Carolyn. I still struggle to get things with my name on!

2. Have you ever been told you look like someone famous, if so, who?

No not really.

3. Would you rather be deaf or blind?

That’s hard! Deaf probably because you can learn to sign. I would struggle if I couldn’t see the beautiful things around me!

4. Why does a round pizza come in a square box?

Round boxes are difficult to manufacture and not as space saving to stack!

5. What's your favourite thing to do in the summer?

Silly question - lie on a sun bed and read books!

6. What is the weirdest thing you have eaten?

Reindeer burger in Alaska.

7. What kind of games did you play growing up?

I was always playing ‘schools’. I lined up the dolls and wrote on my blackboard pretending to be a teacher. I guess nothing much has changed!

8. What do you enjoy most about being a leader at Just 4 Kidz?

I am tempted to say going home at 7pm. As I usually get the object lessons and the stories to do – I am always amazed at the questions the children ask. I am often blown away by the answers they give me too. I am stunned at how much the children have learned and how much thought they give to the topics we have covered over the years. There are often some funny things that happen that brings a smile to my face.
