I am a jeweller working in silver and 18ct Gold to create exiting wearable jewellery.  I like to explore the value of ephemeral time, and time's constraints on our lives as a value.

Inspired by the concept of time as a value. Not to be mistaken as 'time is money' but ephemeral time.  Time of growth, of aging and of memory.

The value of time to me is memories of stories told to me when I was a wee girl by my Granddad.  Stories of the Island and the mermaids cave.  The stories of my family growing up and all the mischief they used to get up to in their little corner of Skye.

My work is created using the landscape connected with  these memories as I hope to pass them on so these stories and memories will not be forgotten.  I hope my work will continue be passed on and to have more stories attached to it as it transcends others lives.

My pieces utilize the qualities of silver, its subtle sheen and easy manipulation, enable me to freely create three dimensional forms of various scales encompassing both jewellery and silver-smithing skills to create accessories that adorn the body as well as the home.  I also use enameling and stone setting to add colour in my work.  Sometimes  I venture into aluminum, paper, resin fabric and 18ct gold to explore consumers perception of 'value' further.
