43 years of the Jamaica Merseyside Association: We can look back on a long history of our association with successful teamwork and a common spirit. We, the new generation of the Jamaica Merseyside Association, are very proud to continue the work of our predecessors. In order to reinforce the Jamaican network, we will strengthen the profile of the Jamaica Merseyside Association. During the New Year 2009/2010, we will put all our efforts into recruiting new members, gaining benefit for our members and in setting up a strong base for our future. Hopefully, together we will be able to continue the successful story of Jamaica Merseyside Association.

 The Jamaica National Anthem

Jamaica, Land We Love

Words by Hugh Sherlock, music by Robert Lightbourne

Eternal Father, Bless our Land,
Guard us with thy mighty hand,
Keep us free from evil powers,
Be our light through countless hours,
To our leaders, great defender,
Grant true wisdom from above,
Justice, truth be ours forever,
Jamaica, land we love,
Jamaica, Jamaica, Jamaica, land we love

Teach us true respect for all,
Stir response to duty's call,
Strengthen us the weak to cherish,
Give us vision lest we perish,
Knowledge send us Heavenly Father,
Grant true wisdom from above,
Justice, truth be ours forever,
Jamaica, land we love,
Jamaica, Jamaica, Jamaica, land we love

 Jamaican proverbs

even enslave me, hurt me, etc. but you can't do them/it to me forever because time and my will/determination is on my side .... time is the master, you can't out last time.

Wha' noh poison, fatten.
meaning: If an experience
doesn't destroy you, you
can benefit greatly from it.

Bucket wid hole a battam
have no business a rivaside.

own business. If you have faults
of your own, you shouldn't criticize
