Welcome to Inverness Independent Christian School webpage (I.I.C.S.) This is for a non-denominational, independent Christian education system based in Inverness, Scotland with the view to establishing a school.  

Starting in 2003, our current premises are based in a large private residence, within a secure, fenced and gated garden, set amongst fields and woodland.

I.I.C.S. currently caters for Primary children P1-7 and Secondary S1-7.  In 2012 IICS commenced International GCES (IGCSE) courses in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, English Language and Literature, French and Spanish.  In addition our music teachers prepare students for A.B.R.S.M. Grade Exams in Violin and Piano.

In  August 2015 IICS commenced A Level courses in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, French and Spanish.

Christian Teachers

IICS is looking to appoint full and part time teachers who will complement the skills of the current teachers. The teacher in a Christian School must have a personal saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ with sound doctrinal knowledge and Christian maturity.  Their love and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ should be reflected in love for the children under their care.   As Christ is the head of the church, the teacher should bring His savour and light into every aspect of school life, " Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven " Matt 5 v 16. 

The ideal prospective candidate should have a good degree from a traditional University.  In addition enquiries from experienced Primary School Teachers would be very welcome.  Teachers interested in finding out more or discussing a post should make contact via the FEEDBACK page.

 

Parents / Students

Parents committed to a Christian education and in due course serious in sending their children to a Christian School should enquires via the FEEDBACK page. 

FEES.  Every effort would be made to keep fees to a minimum and keep access to IICS as open as possible to pupils from all backgrounds.   Current fees will be discussed with parents on a confidential basis.

IICS offers an education aimed at academic excellence.  However, our ethos is to provide an expansive christian education and an environment which allows pupils to flourish in all areas and fulfil their potential.

Students are encouraged to play a musical instrument/s and in addition to violin, viola, organ and piano current students also play guitar and accordion.  Performance is encouraged through school concerts and local music festivals.

Athletics, swimming, football, rugby and other sports are encouraged through excellent local sports clubs. Andrew is a fully qualified UKA Athletics Coach and has successfully coached students to National and International success.  For the last two years two of our students have competed for Scottish School at International level.

Students in S3 are encouraged to commence The Duke Of Edinburgh’s Award.  Through this, voluntary work and philanthropic enterprise have been undertaken in the local Cub Scouts, Athletics Club and a local Nursing Home.
