Well done to Richard Birkett who finished on 3/5 in the Oban Open, beating and drawing with two FM,s! His performance rating was an amazing 2291, I think we need to ask him his secret as he says he doesn’t study these days!?
Congratulations also go to Julius Schwartz who had a performance rating of 1946 from 2/5.
There were other “Birkett,s” in Oban, Derek Birkett who scored 1½ and Callum Birkett who scored 2½. David Newton was also there but I think he was focussed on finding out how Andrew was scoring in Brazil!.
