The first "Blitz" of 2010 took place on the 6th January and despite the snow there was a good turnout,thank you to everyone for turning up and making the tournament a success.

Andrew Newton continues to dominate this event but there are signs of a serious challenge from Steven Seel who played very well,there are also some other entrants who seem to have used the Christmas break to study some chess!.

Thanks to Richard Birkett for managing to get in from Kirkhill despite the bad roads.
