Thursday 28 th..

Another double whammy today for the U 11’s and the U13’s. After some cereal from a margarine tub…I forgot to buy milk last night so we had to steal some from the tea and coffee jug…well, I didn’t HAVE to, but felt obliged. To atone, I shall have a tea with a spot of milk later…and 3 sugars.

After quite a long morning game…I am on book no 3, we decided to go for lunch in town. Passed the Espinosas in Kentucky Fried Chicken. It was hot today, and Colonel Saunders only had to place the poor chooks in the window to cook ‘em…..place was like a greenhouse. We decided to eat in the street, from a wee booth selling Greek delicacies, hot dogs and chips.

After the second game, with the prospect of another week and no clean clothes, we made a quick escape to the laundrette. I had mis-calculated the distance (looks quite close on the map)…duh, and ended up taking a taxi. At least no-one will be giving us strange looks tomorrow, shouldn’t be irritating anyone’s nostrils now. Food wise, this was not exactly the healthiest day…dinner was “just add hot water”…NOT GOOD.
