The 2008 season was brought to a close today when club members congregated together for the afternoon.  In the morning the weather outlook was bad with the green flooding in a number of places with the rain still falling but, luckily, the rain stopped early enough that by the time we gathered together, with the exception of rink one, the green had dried out enought to allow us to bowl.

Twenty four of us took to the green to play in triples format for eight ends before coming in for afternoon tea.  At this point the rain had restarted and we decided to carry on in the clubhouse with a quiz, composed by Roddie, and then some games organised by Cath.  After a time the weather picked up again but it was decided to continue indoors with the games.  Thanks to both Roddie and Cath for their efforts on our behalf.

We then had tea before the presentation of the trophies to the winners of Club Competitions which were as follows:-
