Today saw the playing of the annual match between Dornoch B.C. and ourselves at Dornoch.  Weather wise the conditions were not too bad with light showere occuring from time to time during the course of the game.

As usual the game was played in good spirit with enjoyment being the principal object of the day.  After the dust settled and the scorecards were scrutinised both sides were found to have won 3 rinks each, but the result is decided on total shots and Invergordon retained the trophy with a score of  107 shots to 92.

We then adjourned to the Dornoch Social Club where the ladies of the Bowling Club served up a super buffet meal which was appreciated by all.  After the meal the prize-giving of trophies to the winners and runners-up of competitions in Dornoch B.C. took place.

This match has taken place every year since 1980 and everyone is looking forward to the 2009 match at Invergordon.
