Institutionalisation is a known problem that concerns health practitioners when considering patient recovery.

Long periods of stay in hospitals or care homes can cause trauma and/or depression which in itself can prolong recovery and patient well-being. At Hospital Art we have created a programme of stimulating art  tuition that encourages the use of both mental and physical attributes.

Hosptial Art can activate the mind and provide long term interest following on from completion of the tuition.

The course programme is also beneficial for those with restricted use of their hands and also those suffering from arthritis or rheumatism.
