Lighthouse (Al Minara) School
The Hope Christian Trust has been involved with supporting the Lighthouse School for nearly ten years. Trustees have visited on a number of occasions and have given support in teacher training and professional educational advice. The Trust also supports the salary of one teacher every year and helps to fund various activities and projects such as putting in solar panels, buying educational equipment and helping to fund the lunch time food programme. After the horrific 2014 war the Trust raised £25,000 in a few weeks to help to repair damage at the school. The Trust also runs a student sponsorship programme in the UK. Trustees visit churches to talk about the work of the school and visit regularly to give encouragement and support.
"Let the children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven" - ( Matthew. 19.14)
