Welcome to

Honeybrook, a Beautiful

16th Century Thatched

Devon Cottage

in Farway

Honeybrook is a 4/5 bedroomed thatched self catering holiday cottage dating from the early 16th century with many of its original features.

Honeybrook can sleep from 2 to 8 (+ cot) and is full of charm and character; with cob walls, uneven floors, oak beams and windows with deep sills that peep out under the thatch.

The traditional delights of Honeybrook include a winding staircase, inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove to keep you warm and cosy on cool evenings and quality furnishings and deep pile carpets throughout. There is a traditional style kitchen with modern appliances so you can spend less time in the kitchen and more time enjoying Honeybrook and all it has to offer.

The garden is magical, adults and children will enjoy exploring the paths that meander around a mixture of trees and densely planted areas. Children can hide or create a secret den whilst the adults can find quite areas to sit and just relax. The Colybrook (stream) can be accessed via a gate from the garden, an ideal location to just sit on hot afternoons in the shade of the trees. There are also level lawns, covered ponds, wishing well, sun houses, patios, outdoor Hot Tub (available all year) and a gated area made safe for toddlers.

There will be a Devon Cream Tea waiting for you when you arrive.

Honeybrook is situated in the beautiful and much-loved FarwayValley which is midway between the market towns of Honiton and Sidmouth, East Devon’s premier coastal resort. Honeybrook is set in a sunny, sheltered location and stands in a profusely stocked mature and colourful partly-walled garden of approximately 1/3rd acre. This is bounded on one side by the small Coly Brook. The Coly Brook is fenced off from the garden but there is access to it and children and adults will enjoy paddling from its banks.  The setting is quiet and secluded and delightful rural walks emanate from Honeybrook's doorstep. When you return from your walk or day out, the icing on the cake is a splendid hot tub for up to six people, available all year round.

Farway is a tiny scattered village situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has an ancient ParishChurch which has the oldest Yew tree in the country. The World Heritage coastline at LymeBay, colloquially known as the JurassicCoast lies some 6.5 miles to the south. Honiton (4 Miles north) has a good selection of shops, including many antique shops, together with main line rail link to London (Waterloo). Exeter is only 20 miles away with its much larger shopping centre, M5 access, international airport, theatres and main line rail link to London (Paddington).

Honeybrook is ideally situated for touring the Devonshire countryside or south coast, walking the East Devon Way

. The local Farway stables offer horse trekking and riding to enjoy the local countryside. www.devenishpitt.co.uk
