Homes on Wheels
Not quite what you may expect, not wheels on roads but wheels on rail tracks.
It's one way of helping the housing shortage and an innovative way of having a home that is different.
The plan is to renovate rail coaches that have gone past their normal life and use disused sidings and marshaling yards for sites.
Another use would be de-luxe rail tours for family holidays - something that no-one has ever thought of.
We present a pictorial view of what is possible to give ideas to coachbuilders and tour operators.
There are several idle factories where conversions can be done, including one in South Wales, which is owned by the local council, its the former Metal Box (Crown Closures) Plant, which is next to the main railway line.
