Spiders, Harvestmen, Ticks and Mites

All have eight legs rather than six typical of insects. These animals can be seen anywhere, anytime of day, year-round. A winter night-time visit with a torch can reveal many spiders, especially on mossy tree trunks with crevices where they can spin their webs and wait patiently.
