Chagfood's Harvest Festival, this Saturday 20th October

Come One Come All to Chagfood's annual Harvest Festival to celebrate the season so far on Saturday the 20th October from 12pm til late at our market garden.

12pm - 3pm
Come and help us harvest our first crop of wheat using scythes and sickles. Learn how to make corn dollies. Followed by a picnic lunch, please bring your own food and drinks.

3-5pm
Apple pressing and juice making. Bring your apples to press and bottles, or help us press ours.
For the evening bring food to share:
Autumnal flavours, local food and home made delicacies.

From 7pm we will eat together be treated to a musically accompanied folk tale with Tom and Rima around the fire.
Followed by music and merriment, with cider and ale on tap. Bring instruments and join in 'til late.

Dress up warm and dry and be prepared for showers and a muddy field! We will have shelter from the rain so come whatever the weather. Everyone is welcome from young to old, member of not, so please spread the word and we hope to see you on Saturday.

Directions:
Chagfood is based one mile north-east of Chagford, on the edge of the Teign valley, next to Whiddon deer park. From the A382 main road between Moretonhampstead and Whiddon Down head east from Easton Court, signed to “Uppacott”. Follow the country lane for a quarter of a mile, over a small bridge and Longfield is inside the next double gateway on the right, next to a timber barn. The nearest postcode to Longfield is TQ13 8DG.

Parking:
We will have parking in the field next to Long Field, please follow the signs as you approach. For parking follow direction to the next gate on the right after Long Field and drive down the track until you get to a big barn (No parking at Long Field please). Signs along the way
