The Devon Gardens Trust (DGT) is an active charity which aims to promote the education of the public on matters connected with the arts and sciences of garden land and to preserve, enhance and re-create for education and enjoyment of the public whatever garden land may exist in and around the county of Devon.

DGT are already working with many schools in Devon, helping them to start up food growing projects on school land and to integrate horticulture into the curriculum. DGT offers schools advice and support with starting new projects or redeveloping their present grounds. DGT has also set up two grants schemes, one for awarding Bursaries to horticultural students and the other for small grants to assist projects involving gardens and other designed landscapes within the County.
