Greener Ilfracombe are holding an 'open day' event at The Lantern in Ilfracombe on Thursday 3rd May.

Between 1.30pm and 3.00pm children, with teachers, from Infant & Junior Schools, will be learning about how to live more sustainably, grow food etc. Each will be given a pot, compost and a herb seed to plant and take home to nurture.

From 4.30pm to 7.30pm, in conjunction with Biosphere, 'Communities Living Sustainably' project, event and exhibition is open to invited guests and general public to see what is happening in Ilfracombe and participate in 'open space' discussions to answer the question "What can our communities do together to create a more secure future for our food, energy and water needs?"
