Free finance and marketing training for Community Food Enterprises

A national series of free events has been launched for community food enterprises to give them access to expert financial and marketing training to help ensure they are sustainable and successful businesses.

As part of the specialist enterprise support offered by the Plunkett Foundation through its Making Local Food Work programme, the series of 8 events will take place across the country to encourage the maximum number of enterprises to take advantage of the free support.https://www.makinglocalfoodwork.co.uk/cmsfiles/assets/936.jpg

Written and presented by Simon Michaels of F3 and Maurice McCartney of Fresh Management Solutions, the day-long workshops are split into two sessions:

Morning session - Manage money: Will your business make enough money to enable you to achieve your goals? This session will show how simply financial forecasting can be a powerful planning tool that gives you control of your finances, and could help to prevent your business from running out of money.

Afternoon session – Make money: Are you looking for better sales but aren’t sure where they will come from? This session will show, in jargon-free language, how to use a marketing approach as a sure-fire way to increase sales. It will use interactive and practical sessions to bring you tools and methods that can be used by you immediately.

The events will take place in the following places:
Preston – 5th October – City Business Centre;
Newcastle – 12th October – Ouseburn City Farm;
Sheffield – 19th October – The Workstation;
