Nine volunteers from two groups attended our one day basic First Aid Course for gardeners in Dartington. 

The training, delivered by Derek Robinson, First Aid Training South West, proved to be informative and fun and everyone passed the assessment to become basic first aiders. 

We covered the principles of first aid, and practical work including resuscitation and CPR, recovery position and simple bandaging. 

Sophia from HogCO was volunteered to be the patient and took up the challenge in good humour!
