It rained again for our second training event on growing vegetables but that didn’t dampen people’s spirits.  Because of the appalling weather, much of the course was, once again, held indoors but we did get out into the garden and polytunnel in the afternoon.  The group learned about successional cropping, soil types, using tunnels to grow vegetables, varieties of vegetables and pests & diseases.

One of the participants said “Coming to the 2^nd veggie growing course has been a good reinforcement (of the first course) and we will be able to put it into practice and help other people too!”

There is a repeat of both these courses on 30^th March and 6^th April in Whitestone near Exeter – but hurry places are filling up fast!
