In January HogCO organised for Klaudia van Gool to run a permaculture design day at the farm. This was partly in response to observations made by members of the community garden that the land (which has a high clay content) was becoming increasingly compacted and waterlogged. Klaudia introduced the principles of permaculture and then worked with the group to get a basic design for the site that will hopefully help to improve the soil structure and meet the needs of those using the site.

Food Vision members are continuing to develop the site design and HogCO also paid for Barrie Taylor, a disability access specialist, to advise on the creation of paths and site infrastructure. Plans are afoot for the farm to join the 'care farming' network, and for Food Vision to work with a wide range of people including people with a potential wide range of disabilities both learning and physical.   

Who we are

Food Vision is a food growing and sharing garden for the community to join. We want to provide opportunities for the community to gain knowledge about growing food. We will be selling some of our surplus veg to the local village to raise money for this project.
