Exmouth Food Group

HogCO brought their Local Food Roadshow to Exmouth on July 26 2010, which was followed by some exciting local planning. We had enough enthusiasm for 2 groups to form to look at different projects.

The groups are looking at starting 2 projects. One is allotments in the corner of a farmer's field and the other is about growing food in public spaces on a local housing estate.

The project in Littleham is moving ahead. The group have been in discussions with the local council about legal and planning issues and a suitable site has been found for a pilot project.

HogCO had discussions with Transition Town Exmouth, East Devon District Council and Exmouth Community College. The Community College has a community garden that would love more volunteers.
