Welcome to Hills Community Focus admin site
I have set up this admin site to help keep folks informed as we take on the challenge to create the Hills Community Focus community newspaper.
Just some background:
Emerald Community House is running an innovative course that enables particpants to create and distribute a Community Newspaper.
The Hills Creative Alliance asked to take this on and we have recruited a small team of volunteers who are interested to see where this could lead us along the road to recovery by providing information for folks living in the small communities of the Hills.
Our intial thoughts are that the 'Hills Community Focus' will be a quarterly community newspaper distributed free through community locations and online in www.hillscommunityfocus.org
The area covered will be from Kalorama, Mount Dandenong, Olinda, Sassafras, Ferny Creek, Tremont, Sherbrooke, Kallista, and The Patch, as well as Belgrave, Tacoma, Monbulk, Emerald, Cockatoo and Gembrook.
Our Course Tutor is Mary Farrow, from Emerald Community House, who has a great deal of experience in Community Newsletter production, she has been President of the Community Newsletter Association of Victoria, and led the team who worked on the very successful 'Emerald Messenger'
