Hanging on the wall of Dave Weavers house in Hesston, Kansas is a copy of Dunrobin the 8th hole at Royal Dornoch. If you have a look at Hesston on the map of the USA you will see that it could hardly be further from the coast... so this is what appealed to David in this painting. 

David told Highland Links that he made the mistake of chosing the first frame himself instead of consulting his wife Emily.....therefore the tasteful frame you see is the second attempt ....which was chosen by Emily!

David lives about 30 minutes from Prairie Dunes, one of the most famous courses in the world, and David gets to play there once or twice a year. He would love to come over to Scotland and play Royal Dornoch.
