Saturday 27th of January was the first meeting of the year for Highland Felting Group. It was fantastic to welcome so many new faces and great to see older members too. The range of abilities made the day exciting with members sharing techniques and inspiring each other with their work. This was a particularly important meeting for us as we have been granted an ‘Award for all’ through lottery funding and we could see the difference this funding will make even on our first meeting. Dingwall community centre proved to be perfect. The room was very bright, parking brilliant and a stones throw away from the shops. We now have a stock of fleece allowing first timers freedom to try whatever takes their fancy and artists a chance to stock up. Roll on February.
