Art Exhibition Fund Raiser
For the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation
Masham Town Hall 26 & 27 May 2007
This year we have raised over £400 to help the Borneo Survival Foundation with their hard work at the Nyaru Menteng Project to help them save the orangutans, a very endangered species.
Included in this amount is £50 for the painting ‘Wicked’ created by Rudi the orangutan from Houston Zoo especially for this event. ‘Wicked’ was sold in a silent auction and the winning bid was placed by Judith Edhouse.
Congratulations go to Amanda Barrett whose beautiful painting of her horse, entitled ‘Insight’, was the winner of the Visitors Favourite Painting competition. Amanda is from Newton Aycliffe and this was her very first art exhibition.
Sincere thanks go to the exhibiting artists, Ellen Dean local author, and the invaluable team of helpers without whom this event would not happen.

Houston Zoo has kindly donated two paintings created by their orangutans and it is hoped to have them on display.
Brenda Eccles has donated some superb wildlife photographs, including orangutans, which will be for sale.

Steve Leonard BVSc MRCNS supports this Exhibition.
'Wicked' original orangutan painting will be offered for sale in a silent auction at the May Art Exhibition. It will be subject to a very affordable reserve and the winning bid will be announced at 4pm on Sunday 27th May.
The full amount raised by this unique Pongos Helping Pongos artwork will be donated to BOS.
