Pastors Desk - July 2011

Another session closes and what a session it has been. Some Highlights:

·         The refurbishment of the “Well” at great cost to the time and energy of those involved.

·         All of our organisations have been working at full tilt. and this takes a massive amount of commitment and energy.

·         The decisions for the future and the appointment of Mike as Community Pastor.

·         A growing amount of contact with folk across our community.

All of these things and many more are causes for praise and thanksgiving to our Lord and God. We end the session with a sense of a great blessing a job well done and a rest well earned.

. I hope that it is with a great sense of excitement that we look forward. Knowing that the God who has been faithful to us in the past will be faithful in the future. Next session will be equally as exciting as this one has been and I am sure no less effort and commitment will be required.

The writer of Hebrew says “…… let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross..” 

I hope we will all build up our strength both physically and spiritually so that we are ready and willing for the task ahead.
