HAS  Science & Astronomy Festival

Location, views, and most of all, people, make HAS the success it is todayThank you for visiting our brand new website. As with the old site you will find lots of interesting information about our Society as well as events in our area and farther afield. There is also a lot of information on astronomy in general and on useful equipment for beginners or more advanced observers.

In addition we have a few new features such as our forthcoming online shop, where you can buy HAS merchandise as well as some useful bits and pieces. All proceeds are going to our Society funds.

Stargazey Pie June 2009.  The latest edition of the Society's newsletter is now available. Written by Trina Shaddick, it includes a write up of the talk by Melvyn Taylor on variable stars. You can read it here.
