Harpists for Peace is an international group of harpists who play for the dream of world peace and inner peace. Harpists For Peace was founded in 2008 by harpist and human rights activist Alexis Aria.  The group has received commendations from all over the world.  Alexis organizes candle light harp concerts for peace in Los Angeles.  

In July 2009 the first ever international Peace Hour was held.  Harp players around the globe played their instruments for one hour, inviting one hour of reflection on inner peace and world peace.♥ ♪ ♫ ♥

Locations varied from one's own porch to cafes, gardens, historical sites, beaches, parks, churches, concert halls, on a yacht, The Ground Zero, the Holocaust Monument in New York, and Parliament Square in London. ♥ ♪ ♫ ♥

Peace Hour 2010 was on 10-10-10.  Harpists and harpers  in every precious corner of the world made it the most special day for our Harpists For Peace family.  So many touching stories, and inspirational moments, videos, and pictures.  It was just beyond words, and truly such a memorable day. ♥ ♪ ♫ ♥

Peace Hour 2011 was held on September 11.   Harpists all over the world joined in with their melodies to help with healing on such a difficult day. ♥ ♪ ♫ ♥

Peace Hour 2012 was on July 15.  It was an absolute success.  So many beautiful pictures and videos tell the story of how Peace Hour 2012 was a blessing for all of us.  Thousands of people delighted in our efforts to spread love and peace. ♥ ♪ ♫ ♥

Peace Hour 2013 was held on April 21.  It was yet another beautiful day and special occasion. ♥ ♪ ♫ ♥

For Peace Hour 2014 we joined our music with The World Peace Day held on September 21.  An idea by one of our harpists.  We deeply appreciated the occasion, and will do joint projects again.  ♥ ♪ ♫ ♥

Peace Hour 2015 was held on Sunday September 20th.  It was yet another breathtaking weekend of inner peace enjoyed by the audience and harpists alike.  We are still working on a DVD collage made by a well known filmmaker. ♥ ♪ ♫ ♥ 

The 2016 Peace Hour was on Sunday September 25th.  It was a miraculous day filled with beauty and love.  Visceral for harpists and audiences alike. ♥ ♪ ♫ ♥ 

To honor the victims of Nice, France and all victims of brutalities, we held a Harp For Peace Marathon.  The Harp Marathon started with two harpists who were invited to play in Nice, France at the site of the attacks.  The Harp Marathon continued until Christmas Eve and Hannukah 2016.  Thousands of beautiful videos and photos were taken. ♥ ♪ ♫ ♥ 

In 2017 we held several global events and Peace Hour performances.  Audiences in every corner of the world enjoyed our various programs in spring and fall.  2017 also marked the implementation of new programs for music education to at-risk children. ♥ ♪ ♫ ♥
