Following the Invercharron Highland Games, the season's last Games in the Scottish circuit, Jason Young, Inver, successfully defended his 2016 H.A.H.G.A. Heavies League title, by winning the 2017 League. Jason scored an impressive 189 points, throughout the 2017 season. 

Jason finished 56 points in front of Sinclair Patience, Tain, who had amassed 133 points. Scott Rider, the multiple former S.H.G.A. World Champion, was only 3 points behind Sinclair, having won 130 points.
