Despite heavy rain and very soft ground conditions, the Lochcarron Highland Games a.k.a. The Friendly Games, hosted another successful day at Attadale.

Jason Young, Inver, dominated in the Heavy Events, winning 7 out of the 8 available events, which included the British Championship 56lb Weight Over the Bar competition. His closest challenger on the day, was John MacLeod, Lochinver.

On the track, 7 athletes competed for the various prizes. The 100m and 200m sprints were won by Tony Daffurn, Wishaw, while Finlay Murray, Tain, won the 400m, the British Championship 800m and the 1600m. 

Tony Daffurn won the Long Jump and Triple Jump. Due to the soft ground conditions, the High Jump competition was cancelled, but the athletes competed in a Standing Long Jump, which was won by Andrew MacGillivary, Calrossie.

The Hill Race was won by Cody Wells.
