Following approval at a General Council Meeting on Sunday 14th February, the Glenurquhart Highland Gathering and Games (Drumnadrochit), joined the SHGA.

Their Games were formed in 1945 and were initially a professional Games. They became an amateur Games in 1954 and are now seeking to return to their traditional roots. Their Games are always held on the last Saturday in August, which this year, is on the 27th of August.

A meeting is being organised between Officials from their Committee and Alasdair MacDonald, the SHGA Council Member for the Highlands. Following this meeting, it is hoped that the Glenurquhart Highland Gathering and Games, will also join the HAHGA.
