The Highland Area Highland Games Association (HAHGA), was formed on 09/02/16, when an augural meeting was held in Alness. A Constitution was formed, Rules were made and a Code of Conduct was agreed upon. 

A League for Heavy Athletes was set up, which will encourage Heavies to take part at the 12 Member Games of the Association. Prize money will be awarded at the end of the 2016 season, following results from the final Games, at Invercharron, on Saturday 17th September.
