It was great to see the Senior and Fitness swimmers perform to such a high standard.
To all the Junior Competition Squad swimmers who have settled into a new squad this term your results are really good at this meet.
To all the Development Squad swimmers, many of whom were competing for the first time, you really rose to the challenge.
A MASSIVE thank you to Rose for all the organisation as well as all the committee for such a great event.
Lastly thank you for all the parental support. It was great to look around the pool and the Golf Course to see so many people supporting the swimmers.
The point system for the Club differs from those listed in the Meets Results section of the website (Club members will need to Log-In to view the Champ results). We give 5 points for 1st place, 4 points for 2nd place etc. to 5th place. This was agreed to be the fairest point system at a previous Committee Meeting.
A number of swimmers in the Development Squad have been awarded a time of 2mins for butterfly and breaststroke. This means that their time is not legal on this stroke yet. If we were to enter a time and the stroke or turn is incorrect in a more competitive meet this would normally result in the swimmer being disqualified. As some of the swimmers have been in the Club such a short time we decided to just award a slower time than to disqualify! Older swimmers in the club will note if they’ve been disqualified!
