Thirteen swimmers from Grantown Swim Club attended the Highland Swim Team timing session at Inverness on 28 and 29 November.

All entrants received a trophy recognising their valiant efforts to gain new and updated times.

Novice competitors Campbell Strang, Lucy Ella Mcmaster, Danielle Mcmaster, Molly Pawsey and Nicola Szczypior all got valuable competition practice. There were numerous personal bests recorded by all swimmers, especially those competing at the longer 800, 400 and 200 meter distances.    

The Highland Swim Team was set up for top swimmers in each of the Highland clubs to be able to swim, train and compete together. Currently there are four swimmers in the A squad from Grantown Swim Club. They are Josh Talbot Heigh, Jess Schulz, Isla Oakes and Calum Macintosh.

The next meet in the calendar is the North District age group meet in January in Inverness with seven swimmers having the necessary qualifying times.
