Swimmers with Grantown Swim Club have been busy competing with a team of 6 attending the Buckie Mini Meet on Saturday 7 November. Silver medals went to 11 year old Joshua Talbot-Heigh for his 50m backstroke and breaststroke, while his 50m butterfly earned him a bronze medal. 11 year old Jessica Schulz got gold for her 50m breaststroke.
At the Alloa Graded Meet on 24 and 25 October, 9 swimmers enjoyed competing at The Peak - Stirling Sports Village. The highlight of the weekend was 15 year old Ryan Maclean winning 7 medals, all with personal best times, in his 7 races in the 15 years and over category. He won gold in 100m freestyle and 100m butterfly; silver in 50m backstroke, 50m freestyle, 100m individual medley and 200m freestyle; and bronze in his 50m butterfly race.
Joshua Talbot-Heigh went home with gold for 11-12 year olds, 200m backstroke.
