Fifteen swimmers from Grantown Swim Club enjoyed Elgin Mini Meet at Buckie swimming pool. The 50 metre competition for 8-11 year olds resulted in many personal best times. The most notable were Abbie Macleod’s fly which dropped by 11.49 seconds and Euan Dingwall’s freestyle improvement of 6.14 seconds.
For novice swimmers Carys Hollands, Lily Dunbar, James Hay, Ruby Kant, Mia Kilduff and Rachel Gordon this was their first major competition.
Both Jessica Schulz and Freddie Talbot-Heigh won medals in all their four individual races, with Freddie winning a total of six medals from the team relays.

- 8-9 year old mixed 100m freestyle relay: Rianna Darroch, Robyn Eaves, James Hay & Freddie Talbot-Heigh - silver
- 8-9 year old mixed 100m medley relay: Freddie Talbot-Heigh, Holly Corcoran, Rianna Darroch & James Hay - bronze.
Coaching on the day were Cath Moore and Rose Ash who were supported by Connor Macleod, and senior Club swimmers Ryan Maclean and Stephanie Macleod.
Meanwhile, in Fife, 11 year old Katie Hay was representing the Club. She was at the Inverkeithing Competitive Amateur Swimmers Club two day long distance meet in Dunfermline. She obtained a 13 second personal best time for her 200m backstroke.
