About Me

I was born in Wales and have always lived amidst its dramatic landscape from which I take my inspiration.  
Influenced by the natural geology and landscape of the surrounding mountain terrain, my work has evolved to reflect the relationship that I have with this landscape that envelops me.

I aim to evoke a similar response to my work through my use of material such as the dug clays and natural oxides that convey the integrity of the materials.  Natural oxides and volcanic glazes forming an intrinsic part of the process.

My pieces are hand built and occasionally found objects find their way into the work bringing an interesting relevance and a fresh narrative.

My work is an amalgamation of the organic and the abstract, producing forms that are the product of an ongoing evolution within my work.

Aiming to creat a sense of presence, my work often increases in scale thus assuming a powerful stature owning the space they occupy.

I work empathatically and intuitively, allowing the clay to have its voice.
