Artemis MacAulay Cup - 1st Round

Glenorchy face runaway Premier league leaders Kyles Athletic in the Artemis MacAulay Cup 1st round at The Mart Park tomorrow. It is Glens first home match since the 3-1 defeat against Kilmallie on the 2nd of April, and they are hoping that home advantage will provide the platform to a change in form which has seen them defeated in every game thus far.

However, the task facing them could not be more difficult as Kyles are undefeated all season, having only dropped 1 point in a league draw at Newtonmore, and have already inflicted two heavy defeats on the Glen in the league. The Tighnabruich based side have won many admirers this season for thier high paced, pass and move attacking shinty, and many are already decreeing them champions in waiting as they have surged to a 5 point league over nearest rivals Kingussie.

Glenorchy can take encouragement from a much improved performance against Glenurquart, where they were unlucky to lose 1-0 to a dubious penalty, and will be hoping to cause a huge upset that could act as a springboard in thier quest to avoid relegation.

The throw up at 2.30pm at the Mart Park, Dalmally, on the 21st of May. The club would would appreciate as large an attendance as possible to cheer the lads on.
