The elder of the MacPherson brothers, Alec is from shinty stock with his father John being a former Glenorchy player as well.

Strong, hard in the tackle and with a lethal shot, Alec is equally adept as a Half Back or Half Forward and is undoubtably one of the most important players in the Glenorchy team.

Never one to shy away from voicing his opinion, Alec likes winding up the rest of his team mates (usually Duncan Smith!) and getting the tunes going on away trips!
