As part of the re-structured Marine Harvest Festival of Shinty, the Garry Girls, National Division One Leage Winners 2008 will cross camans with WCA Valerie Fraser Camanachd Cup Winners 2008, Tir Connel Harps on Saturday 20th June 2009, Throw up 4.15pm.

The Men's Senior Match, Kingussie v Fort William, will be televised live on the Alba channel at 5.30pm, there may be the obligatory 25 second highlight of the Women's Match so be sure to tune in.

The match is to be played 12 aside as the Camanachd Association 'cannot shorten the pitch to the usual Womens 10 aside sized pitch due to the 'TV Camera's.  The depth of Garry Girl's squad will be tested on Saturday as a few regulars are unable to fulfil the fixture, namely MacKay, who is away to see the 'Take That' boys in the big city of Glasgow.  Work commitments curtail the appearance of a few others, whereas young Helen Nelson is 'playing a gig' - what a talented bunch we are!

On the plus side, Lyndsay Miche recovers from her 'swine flu' panic and Caryn Grant from Kinlochleven makes her debut for the GG's.

On the 'superb' playing surface of An Aird and the usual weather conditions that go with the Marine Harvest Festival of Shinty only one question will be on the lips of the Garry Girls, Ewen and the spectators............................will Teeny stay on her feet??
