Glasdrumman Notes we 16th August 2015

The Eire Og U-12s had their first game of the Summer League away to Burren on Sunday morning.  From the throw in the Eire Ogs were first to every ball and within 5 minutes had a comfortable lead.  The Eire Ogs went into the break well ahead and even though Burren came out with a renewed intensity for the second half the Eire Ogs took their chances well and ended up winning the game by 15 points.  This was a great game of football to watch and showed just what these young Eire Ogs are capable of.  Well done boys and girls! Training continues tonight (Wednesday) at the Quarter Road Pitch from 6pm until 7.30pm

The Manic Monday sessions ended on Monday when the older group had their trip to Lisburn Swimming Pool.  A great day out was had by all.  Thank you to Sinead McClelland for driving the bus and helping with the supervising.  These Manic Monday sessions were a great success and all the children from Glasdrumman and surrounding areas really benefited from the various activities and trips that were on offer every week.  These sessions would not have been possible without our invaluable volunteers.  A huge thank you to everyone who helped every week by giving up their time to supervise and make the Manic Mondays fun for the kids.  The quote "Volunteers are not paid not because they are worthless but because they are priceless" certainly applies to the volunteers of Glasdrumman Youth Group.  Thank you again!

Glasdrumman seniors visited Bright on Friday night and came away with the points. Final score Glasdrumman 2.19 to Bright 1.09. As yet there is no fixture for next week.
