The U-10s (P5s and P6s) participated in the Jim Mulholland Cup and Shield in the Kingdom on Saturday morning as Eire Og. This was the 1st time that these young players amalgamated and anyone looking on would have thought they had been playing together on a regular basis, so good was the football and team work on display. After great performances in the group stages the Eire Ogs progressed into the shield competition where they faced Balinteer St Johns, Co Dublin in the quarter final. This was a tough draw for the young Eire Ogs, nevertheless, they gave their all right to the final whistle and were deserved winners. The semi-final was next and it was to be the last game of the day as Keady proved too strong. The results speak for themselves, out of 32 teams to end up in the last 4 of the shield was a brilliant achievement. Well done boys and girls. The next tournament is in Burren on Saturday morning. A text with times etc. will be sent during the week.
A huge Well Done to U-12 player Cormac McComb who played in the Cumman na Buiscoil halftime game in Celtic Park on Sunday.
