Glasdrumman Notes we 31st May 2015

Due to the youth groups residential sundays u-12 game had to be postponed until Tuesday 23rd J against Drumgath.  U-12 training will continue as usual at the Quarter road pitch from 6 until 7.00pm on Wednesday. There is no u-12 game this week due to the Down game.
The u-10s had a good win over Ballymartin on Monday night, some great talent and skill was on display from both teams but it was the young Glasdrumman team who edged out winners at the end. There will be no u-6, u-8 and u-10 training this Saturday as the u-10s are taking part in the An Riocht tournament on saturday. A text with travel arrangements will be sent later in the week.
The youth groups residential took place at the weekend....this was the first residential the youth group kids have had and what a brilliant way to begin! The staff and volunteers of Glebe house made us feel so welcome and did a fantastic job keeping 14 active young people entertained with a varied, busy and enjoyable itinerary.
A massive thank you to Andy, Patrick, Lisha, Bernart and Fabian who were wonderful and welcoming hosts. Thank you also to Andy for making this marvelous oppirtunity available to us.  To John Joe for once again agreeing to drive for us and to the leaders  for giving up their weekend. Thanks also to Paddy Kelly for helping with the supervising on Saturday. Without the volunteers oppirtunites like this would not be possible.  Finally a massive thank you to the kids. They were polite, courteous and well behaved the whole weekend, so well behaved were they that each of the volunteers and staff of Glebe house said they were the best behaved, polite group to ever participate on one of their residentials. The youth group leaders were proud to be with these great bunch of young people all weekend and are looking forward to the next residential. Maith Sibh.
