Reluctant Landscapes.

I used to run across landscapes, it met a need to figure out where I was and to feel a connection to places. Injuries have taken their toll and I struggle to gain much distance. Drawing now achieves the miles that my legs cannot. I draw in the same way that I ran. Outdoors in the town and country never completely planning where I was going and being open to new places and experiences. taking on challenges be they running up a hill or drawing a hill.  Doing the work outdoors is an essential aspect of my work. I walk for ages trying to find compositions and  a wall to lean on.
