On Sunday January 30th, AGS Athletics was proudly represented at the Raheny 5 mile road race by William Brosnahan and Declan Monaghan.  Brosnahan clocked a fantastic time of 30:43 which was a PB by over 2 minutes.  Brosnahan attacked the course from the gun and admitted finding the going tough on Mount Prospect Avenue.  However, on a day which blessed the participants with ideal conditions, Brosnahan rallied on the Coast Rd and charged up the hill into the village posting a fabulous time which must be in danger of being beaten once he focuses on a flat route this summer.  Indeed, it was a successful day for Monaghan also.  He too set a PB of 32:20.  Monaghan has been concentrating of late on lower his times from 5k to 10k and he is obviously on the correct path, as success after success mount up.
