On Saturday November 6th last AGS was represented at the final IMRA race of the year by our two Mountain Men, Tucker and Grogan. The race comprised 16K of tough mountainous terrain with a climb of 920 metres. Noted as one of the most gruelling events on the IMRA calendar both of our boys performed heroically. On a beautiful winters day the field of over 130 began the arduous climb at 11:30am. The route took them over the top of Maulin on a mixture of uneven pathways. Above the famous Powerscourt Waterfall they crossed the Dargle and headed up across Djouce Mt and descending back towards the original starting point, which doubled as the finish. Adrian Tucker finished 20th overall posting a time of 89:15 with Kevin Grogan just behind him in 23rd clocking 92:08. They earned silver and bronze in their age category respectively.
