While  some AGS stalwarts were dashing around the Phoenix Park and the tranquil hinterlands of Longford Town, one of our regular competitors decided to take a break from his hard earned holiday in Australia and run a 10k race in Brisbane.  The Bridge to Brisbane 10k race attracted over 31,700 runners of all ages and standards, and is recognised as one of Australia's premier athletic events.  The race began at the unGodly our of 6am and was primarily flat with two hills of medium difficulty.  John Griffin was our sole representative and he crossed the finish line in 46:29. (The man can't even relax with a  pint of Fosters and throw a few shrimps on the barbie, without thinking of running, our last GPS location had him spied running along Rainbow Beach near Fraser Island, the lucky b*****d).
